Using Theatre to Unlock One’s Relationship with Food
*
Do you have a mindful relationship with the food you cook and eat?
In The Body And Food workshop, we will unlock new ways to reconnect with our bodies and the food we produce, cook, eat, and serve. Amid life’s bustle, we often lose touch with our senses, barely experiencing the richness of touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste. When was the last time you truly tasted the food you ate?
Through movement, a lot of play, and reflection, this workshop will enable you to work with your body and mind to:
Recalibrate the Senses: Participate in play that amplifies the senses, coaxing you to mindfully experience the richness of touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste.
Examine Personal Food Narratives: Reflect on your food memories and their impact on your identity and relationship with food.
Explore Social Contexts: Together, the cohort shall explore their understanding of broader food systems that influence our daily choices and/or are impacted by them; and their place within these systems.
The Body And Food workshop fosters a deeper, mindful connection to food and community.
Due to its reflective nature, space is limited to 24 participants.
